The Institute for the Advancement of
Working Families (IAWF), incorporated
October 10, 2001, is a 501 (c)
(3) Pennsylvania Corporation organized under the Pennsylvania Nonprofit
Corporation Law of 1988 for the purpose of conducting education, training,
research, and program development regarding welfare recipients and the working
poor.
IAWF looks to partner with public and/or private entities to provide professional
services; that produces compelling results for its clients.
IAWF's capacity to serve as a leader in
providing exemplary services within professional and entrepreneurial settings
is enhanced by the addition of a multidisciplinary team of associates and/or
fellows with a wide range of experience and ethnic backgrounds.
IAWF's founder, Dr. Rufus Sylvester Lynch, ACSW,
is recognized by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the largest
social work organization in the world as a NASW Social Work Pioneer ® with
nearly forty years of combined expertise in the following categories: Forensic
Social Work Education and Practice; Justice System Advocacy and Administration;
Community Empowerment through Organizing and Systems Planning; Employment and Training for TANF Families and the Working Poor; Behavioral Health Systems supporting Recovery
from Substance Use Disorders and Issues of Mental Health; Research and Systems
Evaluation; Public Policy Development and Analysis; Public and Private
Educational Consulting to facilitate Transformational Change; Human Service
Delivery Consultation; Program Development and Implementation; Strategic
Development of Organizations; and Systems Integration of Initiatives that
support "Responsible Fatherhood" programming.
